On 15 Nov 2008 a National Evangelical Anglican Consultation took place at All Souls Church, Langham Place, London in the wake of the GAFCON conference in Jerusalem in June 2008. The conservative Evangelical leadership of Church of England Evangelical Council (CEEC) wanted the whole consultation to sign up to the GAFCON statement. The motion was 'not put'. It was a seminal moment. Graham Kings, Vicar of St Mary's Islington, wrote about it in The Guardian on 17 Nov 2008.
